Very few people get married thinking they can get divorced. However, the annual divorce rate (U.S.) 38 percent. If you are married, or thinking about marriage, and want no part of these statistics, here are some instructions to follow.

Instructions

1. Choose carefully your spouse: The surest way to get a divorce is to marry the wrong person. This means you should not marry impulsively. You must have a commitment to a reasonable time to ensure that you, your spouse and their families are supported. This means you need to take the time to examine her husband with his mind and not your heart.

2. Ban the word “divorce” from his talks: Each time you enter the word “divorce” in conversations and discussions, you get one step closer to a real divorce. When you and your spouse agree that divorce is not an option, you will find they are more willing to work disagreement.

Divorce is a very difficult thing to go through in the best circumstances. Unless a marriage is abusive or unwanted altogether for one or both parties, the divorce should be avoided. Most people avoid divorce, ignoring the others, but this is not necessary. If you’re interested in avoiding divorce, here are some tips to help you stay happily married.

Instructions

1. Sit down with your partner and make sure that the intention of trying to avoid divorce as well. If your spouse is not willing to work in marriage, then you are wasting your time.

2. Talk calmly about things that bother you. Be sure to leave your spouse to go first, which will encourage open communication. Do not argue the points. Just make a list of things that annoy others.

3. Read each list separately from your spouse, while looking over his. Reading the list, try to find some common ground. Where can I do better?
